Weekend gaming session
On Saturday we enjoyed a late in the night game of Sudoku - Das Spiel (by winning moves) and Die Dolmengötter. The Winning Moves game allows three players to solve three players the same SuDoku at the same time. The first player who finishes shouts SuDoku and the other players have to stop. For each correct number you score 1 point up to the maximum of 81 points. MM - who was the most frequent Sudoku practitioner at the table - was the first to finish.
If you read this blog regularly you might be aware of the fact that we like playing Die Dolmengötter a lot. We were able to squeeze in one game before we went to bed. It was real fun and we had a few majority steals. Lucky for me, I was able to overcome MMs highest value Dolmen which put me a few points in front.

Proof that the New York area might get crowded in a 3-player game
On Sunday we continued with three games of the original Ticket to Ride, another very prominent game in this group. The games were pretty close and we almost had not noticed that PJ was trying to cheat on us a little bit. While MM was resorting the cards, I was adding up the points without really double-checking whether the routes were successfully completed or not. Talking about trust, here ;) ... As a result, PJ won the second game by 1 point - but he is too honest. He starting laughing and that gave him away. We double checked and noticed that he had not quite reached Seattle yet. Say bye, bye to 44 (22 times two) points. A very nice try and a lot of fun for all of us... ;)

Musings on how to cheat yourself to victory :D
