Playing the fan-produced UK map

A couple of days ago we played the fan-produced map of Ticket to Ride UK (created by David Millard). Since I only had time and energy for one game I cannot really evaluate the map yet. My first impression however is very good. We played with 4 players and it felt very very close and crowded. I know the UK does not have the biggest territory but I hadn't expected it to be that narrow. :D

After a couple of minutes, each turn felt as if somebody else was interfering with your plans. One really had to be claiming routes quickly. Detours seemed to be rather common. I am not sure whether the destination tickets where distributed in a strange manner, but maybe all games are like that on this map.I enjoyed it tremendously. MM, PJ and Kleki Petra continued playing after I had to leave. They also like the map. Below, you find the final result...
