The Ark of the Covenant session

Today we played a session of The Ark of the Covenant (German: Die Baumeister des Königs; one of the latest Carcassonne-clones). I was rushed through explaining the rules. The most difficult concept to explain was the temples and their scoring. We therefore started and I described the temples on-the-fly as we drew them. Although the Ark offers a lot of great scoring possibilities they came not into play. I actually like that new bit a lot as it offers totally new ways of scoring in the regular Carcassonne concept. Altogether it was a real close game and was decided only after the wolves had eaten some sheep...
