Munchkin

Shelak bought a new game: Munchkin. This card game is funny as hell. The objective is to advance an imaginery role playing character to the 10th level of experience. Your character (warior, priest, magiician, etc.) has to go down in an imaginery dungeon. Pesky monsters lure behind it's doors. What better to do than fight them? If you kill 'em (and Metallica's Kill 'em all is extremely present in this game) you gain treasures and have permission to plunder the room. If the monster is too powerful your co-players may join in the fight. But their help comes from a prize: the want their part of the treasure. And here, the bargaining and backstabbing kicks in. If two of your fellow players decide to fight a monster, the third player has the option of playing some additional obstacles, e.g. play another monster to the fight or increasing the monsters skills or robbing the fighters armaments. It's real fun and a very interactive game. Unfortunately, we did not find the time to play the expansion set, but we will certainly do this next time...
For his first game, Naturelich was not doing bad at all: my character was the first to reach level seven. Shelak was doing quite well at the beginning and reached level five first, while Raven was a little bit behind.

But she really hit us hard at the end, stealing our experience levels and won the game in a devilish act. Shelak and Naturelich were helplessly trying to destroy her armament but she was too good. What a pity for us, but our fair congratulations go to her. A victory well deserved... ;)
