Spamholes

A spamhole has tried to put spam comments onto this site. Dumbass, I have therefore increase comment-policy on this site to only accept comments from people registered at Typekey. Sorry, folks, but I do not want to look through all this garbage. Spam sux...

Comments

I have a combination of Movable Type and MT-Blacklist set up so that TypeKey users can comment however they wish and unregistered users can comment on entries that are a week old or younger. After that, all unregistered comments are put under moderation.

That way commenting works pretty smoothly without intervention from my part and I don't have to see spam in my blog. It's a real problem to me, I get about 20-30 spam comments a day easily. MT-Blacklist is an important tool, once you get there. All spam so far is for older entries, so allowing comments in the newer entries is ok.
